I live and work in Melbourne, Australia and conform to all the stereotypes of an inner-city, coffee-loving, hat-wearing hipster.

I began my career by writing stories, moved to studying history and literature, graduated with a journalism degree (with a three-year stopover in architecture and sustainability), and have finally found my place, standing at the bustling intersection of copywriting, strategy, design, and digital.

As more people jump online to translate their businesses into digital experiences, I'm becoming ever more awed and enchanted by the power of words.

You want to know a bit about me? How flattering!

How to do nothing
By Jenny Odell

Slowly working my way through this treatise and, ironically, often distracted by my phone.

A blue book cover with large black and white titles and leaves made of the pages of book. The title is No Time to Spare by Ursula K. Le Guin
A red book cover with gold detailing. The title is The Etymologicon by Mark Forsyth.

No Time to Spare
By Ursula K. Le Guin

Essays about Ursula’s cat and what it means to be a writer. It’s always interesting to hear from a woman who writes epic fantasy novels.

The Etymologicon
By Mark Forsyth (The Inky Fool)

A delightful adventure through the origins of words, cleverly linked together.

Values

What you can expect when working with me (other than lots of emojis).

Be bold.

There’s so much bad, boring, no good, unfunny, yawn-inducing writing out there. No more, please.

Be thorough.

No one is infallible. Check yourself, your work, and your attachments before you wreck yourself et al.

Be a master planner.

Create a plan and stick to it, even if you’re grumpy and you don’t want to. Follow through is everything.
